From Vicdessos via the D18, from Massat by taking the D18 towards the Port de Lers, from Aulus via the D8f. The hut is located on the edge of the D18, heading north, 100 m from the Étang de Lers.
The roof, which appears recent but is partially blown off (condition as of 2010), allows the hut to be used as a shelter in absolute necessity, but it is barely habitable. A corner hearth, a chipboard plank for a 60 cm sleeping space, and a concrete floor are present. Two additional spaces on the floor are available if necessary.
