From the Pla de Lau parking area, follow the GR10 eastwards. After 2 hours of walking (700m), the cabin is located 20m to the left of the trail, right in the ascent.
Very small cabin with two rooms: 1. Always open (no lock) A room measuring 2.50m by 2m, almost entirely made up of a lower bunk, with a single mattress. 2. Possibly sometimes locked (a lock was open in 2016) A larger room with a fireplace, a bed frame and a mattress. There is a stream 20m away, and wood 150m away but scarce. A pipe leads to the cabin but the water was not flowing. Likely difficult to access in winter due to the avalanche couloir bordering it.
