Refuge located in the ruins of the Port de Salau. From Salau: - Continue on the road to the South, at the 2nd hairpin bend (signpost), follow the track southwest to the location called "Plagnau Long 1265m", cross the stream and continue on a good path that will cross a boxwood forest, then pass the pasture and the restored Pouilh pastoral cabin, then higher up in front of the [->5622] to finally climb to the Port (2h40 announced from Plagnau Long ...). From Estarri d'Aneu, Isil and the Montgarri track: - From the Fornet refuge, continue on the track to the North and take the path on the right that climbs to the Port de Salau. - From the Perosa Bridge, confluence of the paths leading to the Port de la Pala de Clavera, Aula and Salau, take the wide track that climbs east towards the Port de Salau, at the end of the track, a path continues south then makes a turning movement east to bypass the ridge and arrive at the Port de Salau.
Interior equipment: - 1 large wooden lower bunk -> The door does not close Very rustic shelter, cold, damp, rather dirty, it rains inside, which soaks the entire lower bunk ... to be used only in extreme emergencies, it is better to settle in the [->5622] located 200m lower (in altitude) on the French side.
