Located 180 m below the Port d'Orle, in the Orle valley, hidden behind a large rock block, on the right when ascending to the pass, after the bend made by the path at the Fontaine de la Montagnette (2120). Shortly after the bend at the Fontaine, a grassy flat area is reached. The path to the col continues straight ahead. A small grassy trail heading northeast is visible. Follow this trail, reach a second grassy flat area (suitable for bivouac), then enter a rocky debris zone with a noticeable large rock (if foggy, proceed and the large rock will appear). The hut is behind this rock. Continuing the ascent, the hut can be seen behind you, a little higher at the next bend, unless it is foggy.
Interior equipment of the two twin parts: 1 small table, 4 iron beds with mattresses (in very good condition), 1 blanket (do not forget your sleeping bag). Beds and mattresses were renewed in July 2017. Water source near the hut. Mobile network available when heading towards the valley through the stones (north direction).
