Small very recent refuge, 10 min from the village of Saint Julien de Jordanne.
Information from October 2017: Brand new shelter open to hikers. No key needed to enter. Perfectly insulated (thermally). Size approximately 3mx3m. One table + chairs. Linoleum floor. No mattresses or beds. Can sleep 6 (4 in "comfort" mode), directly on the floor, by bringing a tarp or foam/mattress. Possible to bivouac next to the cabin (lawn). Well located with a nice view over the Jordanne valley (Puy Mary, Peyre Arse, Griou). Drinkable water 1km away (-130m), confirmed by locals and tested by us: go down towards the village of St Julien de Jordanne. Coming from the shelter, upon reaching the D17 road, cemetery on the left, push open the cemetery gate and use the tap. Drinkable spring at the foot of the first house 200 meters away. To the east from the cabin; direction Nôtre Dame des Méringes. No need to go up or down for water. Info from the municipal employee. St Julien en Jordanne (1.1km away): grocery store open Monday to Sunday from 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm. Bread deposit in the morning.
