According to maps, the Refuge de la Joux is located at the crossroads of forest roads called "Borne des Quatre Cantons", in the heart of the Joux forest near Jougne. It can be reached from Switzerland (Joux de la Limasse or Col de l'Aiguillon), from La Queue via Grange-Fontaine, from Jougne via La Grangette, etc.
Now a very nice forest shelter with a table, benches, stools, a stove, and a broom. NO sleeping accommodation. No water in the area. Stove usable again as of February 2023.
