Access

The trail shown on the map to the north is a half-eroded path. It joins the chemin des balcons du Glandasse in half an hour, above the Valcroissant abbey. Otherwise, a roughly drivable road leads to the cabin.

Good to know

It is a large building. Renovated by 28 volunteers from 'Tous à poêle' from April 18 to 23, 2025. There are about twenty places (large mezzanine + 2 benches on the ground floor) plus tent spaces around. Inside: table, benches and stools, shelves/pantry and worktop, hanging library, reading chair, swing, 'Twister' play area, shoe cabinet. Outside: large table, dry-stone reading bench, chessboard. Water: 'Source' tufa spring 5 minutes away (along the forest track below the embankment - may be dry depending on rainfall). Heating: Jøtul stove no. 1 from 1982, convertible into a fireplace hearth (83 kg). Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
