Access

Several access routes are possible: - starting from the Couvent parking lot, go up the forest track of Chemin de Sainte Catherine. Then follow the "la Boverie" signposting. - possible access via Vieugy from the "l'Eau Vive" and "l'Enfer" locations: a very poorly marked path (follow the orange forest markings up to 850 m altitude, then head almost due north). The path is very steep over the first 200 metres of elevation gain (from 650 m to 850 m) but not dangerous (crossing a small rocky outcrop without any particular difficulty). - several access routes from the road leading up to Semnoz from Annecy.

Good to know

A simple and unconventional shelter: an old stone wall over 5 metres high almost entirely encloses, on three sides, a small shelter formed by a simple half-roof made of wooden planks covered with metal sheets. It was formerly a sheepfold. Under the shelter, which is enclosed on only three sides, there is a nice fireplace (of limited use as the shelter is open, but better for barbecues), and two large tables. The floor is made of beaten earth. The place is clean: there is even a bin available, so no excuse... No known water source nearby.
