The Cabane de la FMG is a guarded mountain hut located at the entrance to Flaine, below the Col de Pierre Carrée, in the commune of Arâches-la-Frasse in Haute-Savoie. It is run by Guillaume Chardonnens.

The hut is located at the entrance to Flaine, below the Col de Pierre Carrée, away from the center of the resort. By road, take the unpaved path on the left, just before the roundabout leading to the Terrasses d'Hélios residence. On foot, it is also possible to access it via the "Opale" ski slope connected to hiking trails.
This discreet building is very spacious. It has two large dormitories, one with 12 bunk beds on two levels, the other with 12 bunk beds. The living area serves as a lounge, dining room and kitchen. It has large tables and many chairs, a sofa, a wood-burning stove in the center of the room and a very well-equipped open kitchen with a fridge, oven, gas hobs and all imaginable kitchen utensils. The bathroom is small (possibly too small if the hut is full), with three washbasins, two toilets and two showers (water heated by a storage heater). Other rooms include an entrance hall with shoe lockers, a boiler room for drying clothes and the managers' bedroom when they are present. The chalet has a library, board games, power outlets, Wi-Fi, cupboards, shelves, storage chests, coat hooks, hangers and other drying racks for storing/drying clothes. Outside there is a picnic table and a fountain.
