Difficult access in summer: there is no clear path leading to it. Easier access in winter with snow, provided you know the location... The ideal route is to follow the Nant des Brassets stream (which you will have to cross once or twice, left bank, right bank, passing through a few small clearings). In winter, the route is used by snowshoers who wish to tour the Montagne des Frêtes (Parking du Plateau des Glières --> Col de Ronceveaux --> Champs Laitier --> Cabane perchée d'observation --> Chalets de Tinnaz --> Col de Spée --> Outan --> Fréchet --> La Mandrolière --> Parking du Plateau des Glières).
Approximate location on the map. Wooden observation cabin located about 10 meters above ground in a small clearing surrounded by fir trees at the foot of the Nant des Brassets. Access via a steep wooden ladder. Approximately 1.50m x 1.50m of space available. Corrugated metal roof. Its primary purpose is not, of course, to sleep there. It can serve as a makeshift shelter in bad weather (it is well protected by the surrounding fir trees and shields from ground moisture. Protective aspect is relative, however). Do not expect any comfort, despite this. No "drinkable" water nearby, except for the Nant des Brassets stream flowing almost at its feet, which remains the best landmark to find this cabin (provided you follow the main watercourse).
