Good to know

The hut has been closed since 2009 and is occupied by a shepherd during the summer grazing season. There is little likelihood of it reopening in the near future. Wild camping and bivouacking are prohibited around the hut, as well as on the rest of the Tournette: these are private lands where hikers' passage is permitted/tolerated/restricted/prohibited (depending on the landowners' discretion).
