On the Normal Route to Mont Charvin (west face): Parking: after the hamlet of La Savatte, continue on the road to the Chandoches car park at the end of the tarmac section. It is possible to continue on the well-maintained drivable track to Fontanettes (small car park, vehicle access regulated beyond) On foot: from Chandoches in 50 minutes, from Fontanettes in 30 minutes, from Col des Porthets in 50 minutes
Alpine pasture refuge offering accommodation and meals: half-board, meals, snacks... Local cheese for sale on site. The hut building is located next to the farm. The common room is dominated by the mezzanine where sleeping takes place with thick mattresses laid on the floor. Toilets are in the basement. Outside, a large terrace, a fireplace/barbecue area and a fountain. Hikes: On the Tour du Val Sulens. Near the Tour de Pays Tournette Aravis. Payment in cash, cheques and credit cards (unreliable network, credit cards may not work), no restaurant vouchers accepted Pets allowed Mobile phone reception is unreliable inside the hut but works outside at the end of the courtyard or on the terrace Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
