Access

From Passy (chalet du Châtelet), follow the drivable road for 1h30. Very busy. From the summit of Brévent (Chamonix), descend 1000m to Pont d'Arlevé (via Col du Brévent) then climb 500m through alpine meadows to the refuge. 3h30

Good to know

There are two buildings: the old refuge (1890) and the new one (1994). No winter refuge. 4x4 access forbidden except for badge holders, dogs, and flying is prohibited as the refuge is located in a nature reserve. Paid bivouac possible near the refuge. Credit cards accepted. Work is planned to transform the building for more rooms and small dormitories.
