This is a private chalet. For your information, access to the Chavanne de Villy is no longer permitted to hikers, as a padlock has been placed on the entrance door. This follows disturbances caused by the misconduct of some individuals; the door was (once again) left open, allowing sheep to enter and leave a thick layer of droppings. The resulting filth and odor have forced the owner to block access to the chavanne. This negligence adds to the many instances of incivility (papers, trash, fires), or even vandalism (damaged locks) observed recently. Thank you for your understanding. Note: Chalet de Villy should not be confused with the Villy shelter ([->1384]), which is located higher up near the Col des Chaux.
