The access path has recently been cleared, but it remains a trail that is not always easy to follow (especially at the beginning, around 1400 m, do not try to cross a gully immediately, but climb higher for 30-40 m before crossing it). Water: no source nearby. The large snowfield at the foot of the Banc du Peyron, 200 m from the hut, was particularly melted this year due to the heatwave and was no longer sufficient to supply water to the stream it feeds. Drink melted water, which is quite loaded with various particles. IGN marks it with an "abri" symbol. Located on the shady side at 2000 m, it is not very pleasant before May. A small stove, a bunk bed for two with foam mattresses, bench, table.
