- Access from the Cros valley, with some route-finding required between 1450 and 1800 m to exit the valley (follow chamois droppings). - An easier route may involve ascending the torrent des Blaches Rondes by following the path leading to the cabane du Saut de la Vesse up to about 1640 m (starting from Le Séchier or La Chaup).
Rudimentary tin hut of about 4 m². The stove appears to no longer be functional. There is a mattress but many mouse droppings, so it is not very inviting. (It could serve as an emergency shelter in case of bivouacking under the stars). No water source immediately nearby; a spring is located around 1700 m on the Cros valley side. Many pieces of litter were found upon arrival; a significant amount was carried down, with the help of a kind stranger who took pity on me with my large garbage bag in hand, on 40° slopes, and compressed it firmly to fit into his backpack. Very remote location, solitude guaranteed.
