Guarded private mountain hut located in the Hautes-Alpes, in the municipality of Villar-d'Arêne. It is open continuously from mid-June to mid-September.

See the access at [->1692]. The new hut is built shortly after the summit of the glacial lock (named "Le Greppon" on the 1:25,000 map), on the left side of the trail. It is located more than 2 km further downstream than the former Carraud hut and about 50 m lower in elevation.
Open winter 2022 from February 5 to April 3, continuously from mid-June to mid-September. No winter room available at the moment. It is advisable to use tablets to drink water from nearby streams.
