Access

Commune of La Grave. From Valfroide, the last hamlet above Les Hières (poorly maintained and narrow gravel road between Les Hières and Valfroide!), a trail climbs northeast along the right bank of the Maurian, then tackles a steep switchback section before leveling out as it approaches the Lac du Lombard (Goléon valley). Allow 2h30 to 3 hours depending on your pack. Good bivouac spots are available all around.
