On the road leading to Pied du col (hamlet at the bottom of the main road), take the road to the municipal campsite, pass the first private campsite (reserved for members of an association). It is located opposite the municipal campsite.
It is no longer a mountain hut offering shared accommodation but only private rooms. Food service and small grocery store, bread deposit available. However, the campsite is great! Very friendly manager, plenty of space, located by the Lautaret stream and the Romanche river. - Breathtaking scenery, - very affordable prices - Hot showers - A room with a fridge, tables, chairs and a stove is also provided free of charge for hikers on bad weather days.
