Starting from Gavarnie - two options - (1h30): 1 - At the beginning of the village, after crossing a stone bridge, go up the trail and follow the markers. 2 - At the exit of the village, after the Bergerie campsite, heading towards the Pailla cabin, take the fork to reach the Cabane D'Alan. 1h30 from the fork. Starting from the Espuguettes refuge (1h): Follow the yellow markers (very visible), cross three streams (high flow and snow sometimes present). The last stream is the most difficult, then walk a few hundred meters before reaching the cabin.
