From Mayres-Savel: go up a long path then a track heading north towards the Col du Sénépy. Just before a junction at 1440m, climb along traces that quickly lead to the shelter. From Prunières: go up a path then a track leading to the bottom of the Combe de Prunières. At the 1215m point, turn left passing near the Écurie Bernard hut and the Vallon de Claret, before reaching the junction at 1440m. The shelter is then a few meters above.
Small stone cabin with only one opening: a door without a flap. Despite its very basic nature, it has a stove (untested) and 4 plastic chairs.
