Located on the East Balcony, it can be easily reached from Saint-Andéol. A path leading to the Rochers du Ranc Traversier starts from the hut.
The ONF Peyrouse hut was fully renovated in July 2022 during a participatory volunteer work camp by the inhabitants of Saint-Andéol. The roof, which had some leaks, was completely redone in steel sheeting. A new glass door was installed. A magnificent sleeping bench that can accommodate up to 8 people was built. Ten people can now eat at a beautiful ash table. A small wood stove was installed. There are candles, lighters, a brand new guestbook, and saws. This transformation was made possible with financial support from the Rhône-Alpes region, the Isère department, the Vercors park, and the commune of Saint-Andéol. The inhabitants of Saint-Andéol are extremely proud of their work and will be grateful for the respect you show this place. You can in particular use the beautiful trivets to cut your sausage or place your pots. You can also burn, sparingly, the small wood left on site. You can also take down some of the old tiles stored at the back. Take care of this shelter as if it were your own, and this magical place will shelter you from now on in all four seasons for many years to come.
