At the end of the Pied Fraid forest road above the village of La Rivière, in the northwest Vercors. It takes 5 minutes of walking after the parking lot to reach it. Caution: this area is subject to permanent forestry work. You may come face to face with a semi-trailer loaded with logs during work periods, and crossing on this narrow road is not easy.
The stove has been changed! The hut is marked on some maps, but the name is not certain. Wooden chalet. A wooden bench where 2 people can lie down and a mezzanine, which seems new, where 5 to 6 people can sleep. Access is via a ladder. There is a table with integrated benches and a plastic seat. No insulation, many drafts, no mattresses. A stream is located to the east, about 700 meters away. The hut is likely occupied on weekends during hunting season. Inventory: missing a saw, a proper broom and a pen for the guestbook.
