Access

The Pay road is only accessible to residents. About 3 km between Lavaldens and Pay. Depart from the Pay hamlet, then follow yellow markings north. Reach the Pay cabin on its shoulder below the western slopes of Tête de Barbalon. The cabin is just below the "Rocher Roux". The trails indicated by IGN between the hamlet and the cabin are unreliable.
