Hut located northwest of Lac de la Motte. Accessible in 10 minutes via a trail from the GR "Tour de Sept Laux", near the refuge des Sept Laux.
GSM network: to get good reception with Orange, walk up a few metres on the hill above the hut. This refuge includes: - The main building closed to the public. - An annex serving as a shelter where there is no furniture. However, apart from tall hikers or those who feel claustrophobic in tight spaces, it is pleasant to spend a night in this "nest" surrounded by red carpet. A broom and a shovel are provided to clean up after your stay. There is a latch on the outside and hooks on the inside to keep the door closed, and there are no windows. But be careful: the door opens outwards and you risk being trapped by snow!!! (see Nicolas Masson's comment) - Benches and a table outside.
