At the exit of the hamlet of Molard (located between Lake Verney and the Rivier d'Allemont), follow the signposted direction "lac de Belledonne". Caution: after 150 m, cross the cement footbridge and continue on the left bank. The blue-marked trail passes near the Chalet des Clots (closed - fountain). It joins the GR 549 at around 1950 m, at the level of a ridge which must be climbed to reach the two chalets of Rif Premier (one is reserved for the shepherd). Alternative routes: from the chalets of Coteyssart via the Refuge du Chazeau, or from the Rivier d'Allemont.
Stone-built cabin. Excellent insulation. Sleeping: wooden bunks with mattresses, 3 blankets available. Furniture: table, benches, shelf. Tools: saw, axe appeared missing as of October 2017. Wood stove in good working order. Dishes available. Shelter indicated on IGN map. 07/2017: Dry fountain.
