By leaving the car on the "Traverses" road (signposted after Allemont-Eglise), after the small monument on the road, in fact at the end of the tarmacked road, before the place called Coteyssart. The GR starts next to the stream. It is a well-marked path in the forest up to the top, the switchbacks become more frequent as you get closer to the top. The hut is in a clearing. Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of ascent.
Exceptional comfort. The building is made of concrete, renovated in 1999. 1 single room, sleeping is on the mezzanine, with a few blankets. A stove-cooker, a table + benches, brooms, a broken saw. Electric lighting! (solar panels). Plates, cutlery and cooking utensils. Small wood reserve and tools in a separate small building. Bring an axe or saw. Fountain in front of the door. BUT CAUTION, the water is cut off outside the summer season!! When the water is cut off at the hut, follow the trail going south for about 400m, you will reach the spring where the hut's pipe is connected (spring dry in November 2021). Water is very scarce in general! Mobile network: Good signal (Orange), even inside the hut. Hut closed due to vandalism.
