The Chapelle de Corde is an unguarded cabin located in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, in Isère. It is publicly owned.

Access

From Grande Chartreuse via the forest track of the prairie de Chartroussette. Or from La Ruchère via the prairie d'Arpison. The cabin is at the edge of the woods towards the northern end of the clearing.

Good to know

This structure is a log chapel built in 2005 by Scouts: it should only be used as shelter in case of necessity. Daylight can be seen through the walls, but the roof appears watertight. There is no furniture or equipment; logs can serve as benches. The map indicates a spring to the southeast of the clearing, which I have not verified. The cabin does not appear on the map. It is not located at the site of the ruins marked on the map. The GPS coordinates are approximate, read from carto-exploreur.
