The Chalet de la Charmette is a private mountain hut located in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, in Isère. It is run by Eric LESSORE and Claire CIAURRIZ.

Access

Via the D 105 from Saint-Égrève or Proveysieux to the Col de la Charmette (P). Access in 5 minutes to the left (W) of the cross.

Good to know

Formerly a Forestry House, now restored. Off-grid with solar panels. 24 beds and half-board. Bar open during the day, with light meals. Blankets provided, bring a sleeping bag liner. 6 showers, 8 toilets, 3 stoves, solar photovoltaic electricity, wood heating + solar thermal, water from the Oursière spring treated by ultrafiltration. No free access to water for passing hikers. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish. Scheduled closures: from mid-November to mid-December, and between winter holidays and spring holidays. Check the website chaletcharmette.com for exact dates.
