From La Martinette (bottom of France/7 Laux), take the direct path opposite the parking lot that follows the stream on the right bank up to the Combe Madame hut (1784 m) (1h30/2h).
In 2025, the Combe Madame alpine hut will be guarded from Saturday 14 June to Sunday 28 September. Outside the opening period: a stove and firewood are available, but you must bring your own firewood (forest nearby). The hut has a washroom (cold water, no shower), a dining room, a storage room for backpacks, toilets, a dormitory with 18 beds and another with 4 beds. A travel cot is available for young children. Bring: sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner, pillowcase, headlamp, warm clothing, Tupperware for hikers wishing to have a picnic the next day. Provided: duvets, blankets, pillows, slippers (Crocs type), board games, magazines, books and good humour. Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
