The Jean Collet refuge is a guarded mountain hut located in Sainte-Agnès, in Isère. It is run by Chantal and Pauline.

Via Saint-Mury and Pré Long. In winter, there may be some exposed sections on either side. Exposed sections also exist when heading to the Freydane glacier via the "high route", this time in summer. However, Lac de Crop, Col de la Mine de Fer and Pont de la Betta do not pose any issues without snow. In winter by skis, the "normal" access is from above: Col de la Mine de Fer or the north face of the Rocher de l'Homme's shoulder.
Guarded mountain hut (meals, half-board etc.) in summer, every day in July and August, only on weekends in June, September and October. Refuge reconstruction is under study. There is a fountain next to the refuge, but be aware that a flock of sheep is located just above. The hut keepers provide treated water which it is wiser to use. Winter refuge: 2021: 8 places on mattresses, blankets, stove, table. Winter 2023: no mattresses. No wood nearby, so bring some on the way up. If there is wood, it is better to leave it for emergency cases. No water in winter (melt snow).
