Good to know

This mountain hut occupies a strategic position not far from the highest point of the Aubrac. It is open only by reservation with the owners. While the Aubrac is beautiful and easy in good dry weather, be careful in poor visibility and/or bad weather, as orientation is very difficult on a very flat terrain. Added to this are fences, marshy areas, etc., forcing detours that make it difficult to maintain a bearing. Visiting the Aubrac in winter and independently when the weather is not good and stable is only possible for those experienced in well-equipped winter raids. I am not exaggerating! Mobile network: despite contrary indications, no signal (Orange) can be received in the vicinity of the mountain hut!
