Slightly off the road between Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and the Col d'Arnostéguy, which is used by the Camino francés, the GR 65 and the GRT 07, head east by climbing up to the old Château Pignon redoubt. The shelter can be identified by its tiled roof on the left of the elongated rocks.
Rudimentary shelter made of dry stone, backed against the rock and covered with a metal roof. No door, no facilities, the ground is damp and uneven.
