Quite difficult to find (do not confuse with the many lakes). From the Bouillouses dam, take the path to the pic Carlit (very busy), leave a first pond on the left (Estany Negre), then another on the right (Estany del Viver). At this point, leave the Carlit path heading north and take a trail heading due east. Continue along the trail, pass the Estany de la Comassa on the right, then the Estany Sec on the left. Immediately after this lake, take a path through the grassland heading due east (there is no trail leading to the hut!). You will then come across the large Estagny Llat, which you follow along its right bank. After passing near the [->3500], go up the stream feeding the Estagny Llat to reach the Estagny Llong.
Be sure to treat water from the lakes (preferably treat water from the streams feeding them in any case: grazing area).
