The quickest route: starting from Les Vincendières (Bessans), Avérole, crossing the stream of the same name at Plan du Pré; steep little climb to the Oratory of Saint Antoine de l'Envers, then a rollercoaster trail to the hut. 2. Same starting point, but via the Avérole refuge, then Plan de Revallon, Pas des Eublats, and Pas de la Mule. Note: after the season, the bridge at Pas de la Mule is removed.
