From the bottom: from the chapel of Prodin, via the forest path, accessible by 4x4. Or from Villard de la Table, via forest paths. From the top: from the Col d'Arbarétan and the Refuge du Plan (path not shown on some maps). Note the existence of the "sentier de la Guenille" which descends northwards and meets a path that leads down to the Prodin track around 1300m. Useful if you want to reach Prévieux (or come from there).
In very good condition. Two buildings, one serving as a reception area, the other, larger, under restoration (or workshop), whose lower part serves as a stable for donkeys or horses during the summer grazing period with no amenities or heating. Nearby water source. Outdoor toilets with a drainage stream. Tables and benches. Stove. Gas cooker, but the bottle is usually empty. A heavy metal-handled axe. North-facing. Mattresses were removed in 10/2023; their presence depends on the presence of the herder. GSM network reception is fairly good at the doorstep (outside), poor or nonexistent elsewhere.
