Cimeteret state forest. From Aix-les-Bains take the direction of Margériaz, park in the village of Cimeteret (chapel), then go down 50 m and take the forest path on the left. About 45 minutes' walk and 250 m of elevation gain. Several different small paths (closed to traffic - barriers) lead up to this cabin.
The chalet belongs to the ONF. Small rustic wooden cabin of about 10 m² with simple comfort, tin roof, 2 windows, very poor insulation, wooden floor. 2 large trestle tables, a bench, a few wooden logs as stools. A fireplace (good draft) but almost no heating efficiency. A broom (but no shovel, no saw). Sleeping is done in a loft, no ladder, difficult access: you have to climb onto the wooden frame on the right side. On this loft you will find a 20-litre canister (for water reserve?) and a single blanket. It is also possible to sleep directly on the wooden floor. There is plenty of dead wood around, remember to restock the supply during your visit...
