Access

About 700 m after the Mont-Cenis pass, coming from Maurienne, a small tarmac road branches off to the right towards La Vachère and heads southwest. After 6 km (flat and gentle slope), you reach a junction (elevation point 2122 - car park) from where the refuge is visible 300 m to the left. It can also be reached by trail from the Val d'Ambin, starting from Le Suffet, via the Petit Mont-Cenis pass.
