From Remiremont, take the D23 towards Val d'Ajol, then the D57 towards the chalet de la Beuille (refuge des amis de la nature). After the étang des Maux cailloux, continue for about 1.5 km and at a hairpin bend, take the forest path to the right. The Chalet de l'Impératrice is about 500 meters further. Alternatively, from Maxonchamps, go to the tête du Hanot, from there a poorly maintained path leads to the chalet (many fallen trees blocking the way).
