From Vecoux: take the direction of Chaudefontaine but before reaching it, turn right towards Pré Noël but again, before reaching it (it will be on the left), continue by turning sharply right. You will arrive at elevation 643 below the Cucherons. Until then the path was paved. There, a Vosges Club sign will indicate the direction to an orientation table, placed on a tumulus, 15 minutes away. I parked there. A little before, on the right, there is a calvary at the edge of a red ring path (meaning a circuit of less than 3 hours). This path leads to the Chalet de la Roulotte.
The chalet is in very good condition even though some ugly graffiti are starting to spoil the interior. It contains: a table and two benches (6/8 people), a very small broom (stored on a beam above the table), a wood-burning stove (leaf-burning type). Outside, there is a trash container (so no excuse). A stream crosses the path a little higher up; I drank this water without concern using a bottle with a charcoal filter.
