It can be reached from Vécoux: take the direction of Chaudefontaine but before arriving there, turn right towards Pré Noël but again, before arriving there (it will be on the left), continue by turning sharply right. You will arrive at the 643-meter mark below the Cucherons. Up to that point, the path was paved. There, a Vosgian club sign will indicate the direction to an orientation table, located on a tumulus, 15 minutes away. Follow this path and continue towards the head of the Avuxon; the chalet will be found 40 minutes later.
A stove of the "brûle feuilles" type. A table and its two benches. An attic. The chalet is aging but remains a good shelter. A spring 300 meters from the shelter. There is dead wood everywhere in this area; the forest has suffered severe damage due to major storms.
