Climb the eastern branch of Val Grosina up to Eita. The road was not asphalted in the 1970s... It must have been paved since, at least up to Eita (Beware of traffic restrictions in summer, check the access to [->4139]), a locality after which it becomes a track forbidden to non-residents, which climbs the right bank of the stream. There remains a 300 m elevation gain; halfway up the Colle di Verva, a footbridge allows crossing to the opposite bank where the hut stands, high up and seemingly emerging from the surrounding fir trees.
The toilets are outside the main building. Dishes, tables and benches are available. Keys must be collected. The dormitories on the upper floor have bunk beds, mattresses, blankets and pillows. The hut is accessible from June to September in its entirety, while in winter only a small winter room is available. If you wish to obtain fresh products (milk, butter, cheese), you may try knocking on the doors of active alpine pastures in the area, but this is not guaranteed. The hut is the only support point for the normal route to Cima Piazzi via the south face (1400 m elevation gain), which is best tackled early in the season when snow is still present in the gullies and the weather is cold.
