Access

Bivouac located at the foot of the west spur of the Torre di Lavina. From Lillaz, at the end of the Cogne valley: - Take path no. 13 leading to Col Bardonney; before Bardonney, this path joins the Alta Via no. 2. After passing Bardoney alpine pasture (farm, herd of cows), follow the Bardoney valley heading south towards the Col éponyme. At the Punta della Sterere, turn left to follow the marked path 13E eastward, which crosses the stream on a metal bridge, then climb a steep but well-marked trail up the grassy slope on the eastern side of the valley. After reaching the top, the path continues southeastward with an ascending traverse, then tackle the scree slope at the western foot of the Torre di Lavina. You will pass near the [->5942] (7/8 minutes before the bivouac), where a pipe has been installed to facilitate water collection, then go around a small moraine and quickly reach the bivouac. - From Lillaz, you can reach Bardoney alpine pasture via the Lago di Loie 2346m (path no. 12, offering a fine viewpoint over the Cogne valley), then after a collet descend to Bardoney and rejoin the previous path. Note: the ascent to the lake follows a path starting opposite the beautiful Lillaz waterfall; this path is extremely steep and awkward, with stones and roots, climbing the slope clearly visible from Lillaz.
