Refuge beautifully located above the large Teleccio dam, at the entrance of a cirque surrounded by high rocky mountains with many high-difficulty climbing routes. From the Teleccio dam: From the Valle dell'Orco (or Di Locana) valley, turn right after the locality of Resone, pass through San Lorenzo, then San Giacomo, cross the torrent to go up the Vallone di Piantonetto. After San Giacomo, the road is marked as private and closed to vehicles (private access to the dam), but a sign below indicates that it can be used; unsure, Italians do not hesitate and drive up to the barrier well below the Teleccio dam, about 2 km after San Giacomo. From the parking area, walk back up the road to the dam, then take the path heading due north along the left bank of the lake to easily reach the yellow "poussin" refuge! (45 min).
Summer opening: see exact dates on the website. Outside the staffed period: winter refuge with 12 places.
