In the hamlet of Chapy, above La Palud, at the entrance of Val Ferret. Away from the Tour du Mont-Blanc which passes on Mont de la Saxe on the opposite side. To reach the hut from Courmayeur (counter-clockwise direction of the TMB), you must take the road and pass through Entrèves. However, there are buses (Val Ferret line from Piazza Monte Bianco, get off at "La Palud Sbarra" stop). To reach the hut from Mont de la Saxe (clockwise direction of the TMB), descend to the bottom of Val Ferret at Lechey and cross the Doire de Ferret at Pont Pailler.
New accommodation opened in 2025 on the Tour du Mont-Blanc in a building constructed in 1950 by the Giovane Montagna association from Turin and previously reserved for its members. The furniture may be a bit dated but the sanitary facilities and kitchen have been renovated. 25 beds in rooms with a maximum of 4 bunk beds. Double or single rooms available. Shared sanitary facilities (toilets, showers). Lounge, drying room, terrace and storage room available for guests. Electrical outlets, free Wi-Fi. Half-board, packed lunch (to be booked in advance) and dinner available. Free drinking water, hot water for thermoses. Languages spoken: Italian, French, English, German, Spanish. Half-board rates: Shared 4-bed room: €70 per person. Private 4-bed room: €72 per person. Private 2-bed room: €78 per person. Private single room: €85 per person. Packed lunch: €12. Payment in cash or by credit card.
