Guarded private mountain hut located above Courmayeur, on the Mont de la Saxe, in the Valle d'Aosta. It is run by Lorenzino Cosson.

Above Courmayeur, on the Mont de la Saxe, on the Tour du Mont-Blanc and the Alta Via n°1. From Val Sapin (upper Courmayeur): 1h30 via trail n°42 (easier). From Planpincieux: 1h30 via trail n°31 (steeper).
Open from early June to late September, other dates by reservation only. Booking via the hut's online form or the Tour du Mont-Blanc reservation platform. The hut consists of 2 buildings: the lower one, the old hut, which houses reception, the restaurant, dormitories and the terrace, and the upper one, the new hut, which only has dormitories. There are 60 beds in several dormitories of 12 to 16 places with bunk beds or simple sleeping platforms. Double rooms are also available. 2025 prices: Dormitory bed in half-board: €70 Picnic: €12 €10 discount for children under 8 Add €1 tourist tax per person Half-board includes overnight stay, dinner, breakfast and one shower token. Showers require tokens. No camping allowed around the hut (prohibited below 2500m in Italy). Dogs not allowed. Luggage transport service by mules. Meals served at midday and in the evening, bar open during the day. Cash payments only (euros). Languages spoken: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish.
