The most direct route: from the hamlet of Vétan (1670 m) on the southern slope. This southern path is the sculpture trail; keep an eye out for the sculptures (wood, stone) that adorn the route! This path attracts a very large number of people! don't worry!
This building has just been completed...! it opened this year, partly filling a gap in support points on the southern slope of Mount Fallère, a viewpoint that is nevertheless popular. Built to eco-friendly/sustainable/etc. standards in the local alpine style: nothing like the psychedelic megalomaniac warts such as the new Goûter or the new Monte Rosa Hütte... It seems that reclaimed wood was used for the wooden parts. Prices and details are available on the refuge's website. THIS REFUGE DOES NOT (OR NO LONGER) HAVE ANY WINTER INDOOR SPACES.
