Chaligne refuge is a privately-owned guarded mountain hut located in Valle d'Aosta, in the municipality of Gignod. It is open from mid-June to mid-September.

Access

On the National Road 27 leading from Aosta to the Great St Bernard Pass, once past the village of Gignod, a small municipal road branches off to the left towards Buthier (note: parking space is limited). From there, follow a pastoral track on foot to the Chaligne alpine pasture (about 2 hours).

Resulting from the restoration and expansion of alpine buildings, opened in 2006, it completes the equipment of an area previously lacking any support points, together with [->3839]. A dormitory with 14 beds, rooms with 8 / 6 / 4 beds. Showers. Price: to be confirmed. Winter section with 6 beds.
