The starting point is in Ollomont. Walk about 1 km north on the road to reach the hamlet of Rey, where a yellow-marked trail starts on the left (east) after crossing the stream. The trail ascends via the Prunayes alpine pasture to Champillon, on the route to the col of the same name. It takes about 3 to 3.5 hours from Ollomont.
New mountain hut built in 2005. It facilitates hikes on the chain separating the Val d'Ollomont from the Vallon de Menouve, including the ascent to Mont Chenaillé. Features a winter room with six beds and electric lighting.
