There are actually 2 huts: the old one (built in 1896) and the new one (built in 1952, renovated in 2015), located just above it. Both are situated on the Italian side, on a secondary peak of the Pointe d'Helbronner. The two huts are connected by a covered staircase, while the new hut is linked to the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car station and the Panoramic Mont Blanc cable car by a tunnel.
